Columbia's Day for Dignity

Day for Dignity

Please join us in a powerful way to follow God’s calling to care for the poor in our community. Instead of giving people a fish, we’d rather see them learn how to fish. That’s why we are joining a movement of people across the country loving their neighbors by helping them experience what they really need… the dignity of work.

Mexican Restaurant Ventures, Midlands Area Taco Bell Franchisee, is sponsoring Columbia Day for Dignity to raise the awareness and funds needed to help more churches and organizations lead Jobs for Life classes in the Columbia area. Having seen JfL's work across the country and at Columbia Crossroads Church and Veer Community Development, we believe we can have a profound impact on joblessness and unemployment in our community as churches and ministries use JfL's strategy to help people in need learn and experience the dignity of work.

We invite you to join us to transform lives and to help us hit our goal of $12,500. To participate, simply make your tax-deductible gift by clicking the “Donate Now” link in the upper corner; then, invite others to join us, too.

Think about giving the equivalent of a full day, half day, or even just a few hours…to help men and women learn how to work and find meaningful employment. $250 ensures a man or woman learns and experiences the dignity of work. 100% of the money raised goes to equip churches and community ministries to teach men and women God’s design for work and help them find and keep meaningful employment.
